Manchester United narrowly secured progression to the last 16 of the Europa League last night, despite losing to Ajax at Old Trafford.

Sir Alex Ferguson took the blame for defeat, pointing to the lack of experience in a first eleven that had an average age of just 24.

Andre Villas-Boas has admitted Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich questioned his tactics following Wednesday's 3-1 defeat at Napoli.
