Wilson: Hooper for England

Kelvin Wilson is baffled Celtic team-mate Gary Hooper was not called up for England's friendly against Holland.

The Hoops striker has netted an impressive 20 goals so far this season to help fire Neil Lennon's men into a commanding lead at the summit of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.

But his efforts were not enough to catch the eye of Stuart Pearce and earn himself a place in the squad for Wednesday's clash at Wembley. Asked if he believes England scouts discount players in the SPL, Wilson said: "I don't know how it works but I think Gary deserves one (a call-up)."
