Arjen Robben sealed victory for Holland at Wembley last night, after Stuart Pearce's England staged a late comeback from two goals down.

Ashley Young and Gary Cahill pulled England level late in the game, but Bayern Munich forward Robben spoiled the party with a 92nd minute winner.

Scott Parker, who captained the side, said the side could be proud despite defeat, sharing his belief the performance gave "great hope".

Stuart Pearce also commended England's fightback, reiterating he would be willing to stay in charge of the Three Lions for Euro 2012.


Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as the frontrunners for the signature of Ajax defender and Arsenal target Jan Vertonghen. (talkSPORT)
