Arsenal target Lukas Podolski has already decided on his destination for next season, at least that is according to Cologne manager Stale Solbakken.
The 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a summer move to the Emirates Stadium, after reports in German publication Bild claimed that a deal had been struck between the Gunners and Cologne.
Podolski has been in fine form this season and, with 18 months remaining on his contract, it is seemingly likely that Cologne will cash-in on the Germany international this summer.
And, says Solbakken, the former Bayern Munich forward already knows where he will be playing his football next season, although was not at liberty to divulge further details
“Lukas knows a lot [about his future],” Solbakken said, according to The Times.
“He has everything under control and it is important he can concentrate on our upcoming games.”
Podolski has scored 16 goals in 21 appearances for club and country this term, and his acquisition would be quite a coup for Arsenal.
The signing of another goalscorer is imperative for Arsene Wenger, with the Gunners growing over reliant on Robin van Persie to find the net.
Podolski certainly has the talent to be able to relieve at least some of the burden on Van Persie.
