Tottenham Hotspur have been dealt a blow with the news Gareth Bale is a major doubt for their clash against Manchester United on Sunday.

The Wales international, who pulled out of Gary Speed's Memorial Match, is reported to have suffered a hamstring injury, and will not be risked.

Kenny Dalglish believes Steven Gerrard will not retire after Euro 2012, saying he expects the Liverpool captain to reach 100 caps for England.

Elsewhere, Tom Cleverley has spoken of his desire to play international football this summer - be it at Euro 2012 or the London 2012 Olympics.
