Wayne Rooney is thankful Manchester United have managed to put last season's Barclays Premier League away-day nightmare behind them.

United managed to secure a record 19th league title last term despite winning just five games away from Old Trafford. It was their worst return in a championship-winning campaign. Indeed, only two sides have won a 20-plus club title with fewer.

Already this term United have doubled that number and it should rise still further when they visit relegation-threatened Wolves on Sunday. Rooney told "Last season was a nightmare really in terms of our away form. We knew we had to put that right and there's been a real determination about us away from home this season."
