Former Chelsea winger Arjen Robben could reportedly join Manchester United this summer, as he stalls over signing a new contract with Bayern Munich.

The 28-year-old has been in excellent form for Bayern this season, having found the net on 16 occasions in 27 appearances in all competitions.

However, it is claimed Robben has fallen out with Bayern boss Jupp Heynckes, and continues to put negotiations over a new deal on hold, which suggests his future at the Allianz Arena could be in doubt.

According to The Mirror, this apparent impasse has alerted Manchester United to the potential availability of the Holland international as Sir Alex Ferguson begins to make plans for the summer transfer window.

Robben, of course, already has plenty of experience in English football, having made over 100 appearances for Chelsea during three seasons at Stamford Bridge.

Old Trafford, though, could be the next destination for the former Real Madrid attacker, and a deal for his signature could represent quite coup for United.
