Chelsea are ready to offer Salomon Kalou a new three-year contract to keep the winger at Stamford Bridge.

Kalou’s current deal expires this summer and the 26-year-old is a reportedly a transfer target for long-term admirers Arsenal and AC Milan.

Chelsea are prepared to give the Ivorian a £20,000 pay rise to convince him to stay, which would take his salary to around £100,000-per-week.

"I am not thinking about a transfer yet. At the end of the season everything will be clear in everyone's head," he told the Metro.

Kalou was actively seeking a move away from the club under Andre Villas-Boas but is back in favour under interim first-team coach Roberto Di Matteo.

He scored the winner against Benfica in the Champions League last week and has featured in Chelsea’s last eight games.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger tried to buy Kalou in the summer and could sign him as a free agent if he fails to agree a deal with Chelsea.

Talks between the club and Kalou’s representatives are set to resume at the end of the season.
