‪‪‪Jermain Defoe says it is important Tottenham "stick together" after the latest setback in their push for Champions League qualification.‬‬

‪‪Spurs stuttering Premier League form continued as Norwich earned a shock 2-1 victory at White Hart Lane on Monday.‬‬

‪Defoe equalised Anthony Pilkington's early opener with his 16th goal of the season before Elliott Bennett struck a superb winner midway through the second half.‬

‪‪Harry Redknapp’s side have now won just one of their last eight league games and have been leapfrogged by north London rivals Arsenal.‬‬

‪‪With Newcastle and Chelsea hot on their heels, Defoe knows the players need to respond as the race for fourth reaches its climax.‬‬

‪‪"I think it's important to regroup now and everyone has to stick together,” he told Spurs TV.‬‬

"We've got to keep working hard, there are so many important games to play. We just need to try and get as many points as we can.‬‬

‪‪“We've had a fantastic season and we just need to think about how we've played before to win games.‬‬

‪‪"We've just got to keep it going and try and forget about this result."‬‬

‪‪Next up for Tottenham is this weekend's FA Cup semi-final meeting with Chelsea at Wembley.‬‬

‪‪They then return to Premier League action with a trip across London to face QPR before hosting Blackburn Rovers.‬‬

‪Harry Redknapp's side then travel to Bolton and Aston Villa before concluding their league campaign with a home game against Fulham.‬
