Liverpool chairman Tom Werner has insisted Kenny Dalglish's position as manager is safe after Damien Comolli left the club yesterday.

Werner admitted that the clubs owners has been "dissatisfied" with results this season, but said they have "great confidence" in Dalglish.

Gareth Bale has said believes Tottenham will triumph in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday - because they "have a better team" than Chelsea.

Elsewhere, Sergio Aguero insists the Premier League title race is not over after Manchester City closed the gap on league leaders United to five points.


In today's transfer news, Manchester United are said to have joined the race for Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal target Eden Hazard. (Metro)

Mario Balotelli's agent has denied rumours the Italian could leave Manchester City, claiming he will stay at the club. (The Guardian)
