Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro has revealed his White Hart Lane colleague Gareth Bale would relish a move to Barcelona.

The Catalan club have been linked a number of times with the Spurs winger, who admitted a move to the Nou Camp would be an attractive proposal.

Harry Redknapp will be desperate to hang on to the Welshman, but Sandro’s comments suggest a bid from Pep Guardiola’s club might be difficult for Bale to turn down.

“Bale is content, but certainly he would like to play for Barca,” he told COMRadio.

Spurs are currently in the midst of a fight to finish the season in the Premier League’s top four and qualify for the Champions League.

Whether they are playing in Europe’s top competition next year or not is likely to have a impact on Bale’s prospects of staying with the club beyond the summer.

This looked certain up until the a few weeks ago, where an alarming dip in form has seen Redknapp’s side drop a ten-point lead in third over Arsenal to trail them by five points.

They will now have to battle with the Gunners, Chelsea and Newcastle United for the last two Champions League places.

They will not have been helped by the 5-1 thrashing they received at the hands of Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Sunday.
