Chelsea winger Salomon Kalou is being chased by Tottenham Hotspur with a view to a free transfer at the end of the season.

Harry Redknapp has been impressed with the Ivory Coast international and will try to convince him to swap Stamford Bridge for White Hart Lane in the summer transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.

Kalou’s contract with the Blues runs out at the end of the season, but Chelsea have reportedly signalled they are open to negotiating a new deal since being impressed with his return to the side under caretaker manager Roberto di Matteo.

The 26-year-old was frozen out under previous boss Andre Villas-Boas after refusing to sign a new contract, but was reinstated after club owner Roman Abramovich sacked the young Portuguese.

The report also claims that Serie A side AC Milan are interested in signing Kalou, whose comeback was topped with the winning goal in Chelsea’s first leg victory over Benfica in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.
