Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has insisted he was not overly disappointed about his unexpected snub for the England manager's position.

Redknapp was made the clear favourite for the post after Fabio Capello quit in February but the Football Association appointed West Brom boss Roy Hodgson.

Redknapp, speaking after Spurs' 4-1 Barclays Premier League win at Bolton, said: "I didn't wake up on Monday morning and think, 'What has happened to my life, I'm not the England manager'."
