Arsenal are confident of convincing Robin van Persie to stay at Arsenal amid reports Juventus are preparing a bid for the Dutchman this summer.

Van Persie is out of contract next year, with talks over a new deal to be held in June - although much could depend on whether Arsenal qualify for Europe.

Roberto di Matteo has backed John Terry with the Chelsea captain's recent form leading to suggestions he could miss out of England's Euro 2012 squad.

Elsewhere, Atletico Madrid defeated Atheltic Bilbao 3-0 in the Europa League final last night, with Radamel Falcao firing Diego Simone's side to the trophy.
