Fulham striker Moussa Dembele is backing his Belgium international teammate Eden Hazard to flourish in the Premier League.

Hazard revealed yesterday that he will be joining Chelsea in the summer, and Dembele believes the Lille playmaker will shine for the Blues next year.

Chelsea's latest recruit was torn between three options; Manchester City, Manchester United and the Blues, but opted for the Stamford Bridge side after they clinched Champions League qualification with victory over Bayern Munich in the final.

And his Belgian teammate and fellow Premier League performer Dembele, has backed Hazard to be a huge success in England.

"It's a good choice from Eden," said Dembele. "He has the quality to succeed in every competition in Europe but the English competition is the best in the world so it will be good for his development."

The Fulham star warned Blues fans that Hazard may need time to find his feet, but also said the Lille starlet has the potential to be the next David Silva.

"Eden is quite small, but in the last couple of years more small players have arrived in the Premier League like Silva, [Juan] Mata and before that [Luka] Modric - and Hazard can certainly be like them."

Hazard joins a growing Belgian contingent in the Premier League, which includes Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany, Arsenal enforcer Thomas Vermaelen, Fulham ace Moussa Dembele, Chelsea forward Romelu Lukaku, and now Chelsea's Eden Hazard.
