England kick off their Euro 2012 campaign in this evening's Group D opener against a France side looking to extend a remarkable 21 game unbeaten run.

Roy Hodgson will hand a competitive debut to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, while Danny Welbeck and Ashley Young are expected to start in attack.

Karim Benzema is set to lead the line for Laurent Blanc's side, with Frank Ribery, Florent Malouda and Samir Nasri supporting in attack.


In today's transfer news, Paris Saint-Germain are said to be in talks to buy Thiago Silva, having already signed Napoli's Ezequiel Lavezzi. (
