French international Yann M’Vila admits he would be interested in a move to the Premier League – with Arsenal his preferred destination.

According to reports in the Daily Star, M’Vila has confirmed his interest in moving from Ligue 1 to the Premier League. And the Rennes star sees the Emirates Stadium as his ideal destination.

The 21-year-old is currently on international duty with France at Euro 2012, but has been strongly linked with the Gunners for the past few months. The holding midfield player has also been linked with a number of Europe’s top clubs, including Bayern Munich, but Arsene Wenger remains in pole position to sign the Frenchman.

Speaking after France’s 1-1 draw with England, M’Vila said: “I have heard Arsenal are interested in me. I like Arsenal and I like the Premier League but I don’t know what is happening with the club.

But I would be interested in the Premier League – and Arsenal.”

The Rennes midfielder has been valued around the £25million mark, and could be joined at the Emirates Stadium by highly-rated Montpellier forward Olivier Giroud. The French forward lead the line expertly last season for the Ligue 1 champions, and has been linked with a move to the Gunners.

Arsenal moved early in the transfer market to secure the signing of German international Lukas Podolski. Gunners fans can watch their new signing this evening, as Germany take on Denmark in their crucial Euro 2012 Group B clash.
