Wayne Rooney said he believes England can reach the semi-finals or Euro 2012 after the Three Lions finished top of Group D last night.

Rooney said England are "feeling confident and difficult to beat", with Roy Hodgson's side set to face Italy in the quarter-finals on Sunday.

France will face Spain in the last eight, after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Sweden - with Laurent Blanc admitting his side must improve.

Elsewhere, Tottenham have offered Andre Villas-Boas the manager's job at White Hart Lane, according to reports in The Guardian today.


Arsene Wenger says he is confident Robin van Persie will stay at Arsenal and sees no reason why he would join Juventus. (Sky Sports)

AC Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has ruled out making a move for Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli. (talkSPORT)
