Arsenal have not received an offer for Robin van Persie, according to the club's chairman Peter Hill-Wood, and have no intention of selling their captain this summer.

Reports in the Italian press on Monday claimed Juventus had seen an offer of £8 million for Van Persie rebuffed as doubts continue regarding his future at the Emirates Stadium.

The Dutch striker is out of contract at the end of next season and, as of yet, has provided no clear indication that he will remain with Arsenal, despite the club's best efforts to keep him.

It has been claimed that Arsenal would be prepared to cash-in on Van Persie during the transfer window if he decides to not to extend his stay, thus avoiding the possibility of losing the 28-year-old for nothing in 12 months.

Hill-Wood, however, denies the Gunners would consider allowing Van Persie to depart this summer, and says no club has made an official approach for the Netherlands international.

“As far as I am aware, nobody has made any offer for him and he is away so we are not in any dialogue at all," he said, according to The Mirror.

“We are not in the remotest bit interested in selling him.”
