European football simply couldn’t contain Spain and their slick brand of passing football at Euro 2012 – so there was little hope that a double decker would succeed where some of the best players in the world failed.
Spain returned home from Euro 2012 as conquering heroes having retained the crown they won four years ago with a stunning performance in the final against Italy, running out 4-0 winners in Kiev.
La Roja became the first side in the history of the game to win three consecutive major international tournaments in Ukraine, and having vanquished their opponents, triumphant full-back Alvaro Arbeloa decided to leap from the victory bus and into the arms of the thousands of fans who were lining the streets to greet their heroes during their victory parade.
Luckily for the Real Madrid man there was plenty of security on hand to ensure that he was kept safe from the clutching hands awaiting his arrival, while his team-mates could only look on and laugh.
Best of all, some one was on hand to film the whole crazy scene – enjoy the video!
