Just who is the greatest football team on the planet?

It’s a debate that rages throughout the land, with fans often singing that there side is better than any other throughout the land.

Whilst it remains impossible to say just which team is the best, it is now possible to see which team has the most fans through the power of Facebook.

And, figures today show that Barcelona are the leaders of the pack, as the world’s most ‘liked’ football team on just over 33 million fans.

Their great Spanish rivals, Real Madrid, are not far behind, passing 30 million fans earlier in the week as they set their sights on top spot.

Premier League giants Manchester United come third on the list, again not far behind on 26.2 million fans.

Fourth-placed Chelsea are a long way back after that, with 11.3 million ‘likes’ for the Champions League winners. AC Milan sit just behind in fifth, with 11 millions fans to their name.

Next on the list is Arsenal, with the Gunners boasting 10.8 million fans to their name, before Liverpool (9.8m) and Turkish giants Galatasaray (7.1m).

Another Turkish Super Liga side, Fenerbahce, come next on the list with 5.9 million fans, before German giants Bayern Munich complete the list on 4.5 million ‘likes’.
