You might not think that football would appeal very much to Hollywood A-listers, so great is the glitz and the glamour of their celebrity lifestyles.

But, the recent presence of high-profile stars such as Tom Hanks, Daniel Craig, and even Jackie Chan, proves that the Premier League's pulling power really knows no bounds.

Double Oscar-winner, Hanks, was pictured in Oregon this week to watch Aston Villa beat the Portland Timbers in their final game of their tour of North America, and attracted almost as much camera flash as the game itself when he met the club's new manager Paul Lambert.

"There's not too many times in your life that you actually meet people of that stature," enthused the Villa boss. "He spoke to me about Villa. I asked him how it came about and how he's a fan and he told me a little bit of the background to it."

Meanwhile, Chan was spotted supporting Manchester City earlier this week, during the champions' tour of Asia. The actor was pictured holding the Premier League trophy with some of the club's first-team stars, and even stopped to speak to Citizens boss Roberto Mancini.

And finally, 'Casino Royale' star Daniel Craig, a known Liverpool fan, was seen at Fenway Park watching the Reds' pre-season game against Serie A side Roma.
