Pro Evolution Soccer’s latest trailer shows gamers will be in for a real treat this season.

Both PES 2013 and FIFA ’13 have been forced into showing their hands early at the Gamescom video game expo in Cologne, Germany, and neither franchise has disappointed with their latest teaser releases.

GiveMeFootball will be taking a closer look at EA Sports’ effort tomorrow with the announcement of the game’s new cover stars alongside Lionel Messi, but today it’s a look at the new offering from Konami.

With Real Madrid winger Cristiano Ronaldo on the front cover, it’s no surprise that he features predominantly in the trailer, which features a match between Los Blancos and Bayern Munich at the Santiago Bernabeu.

PES, who have already released a playable demo on all formats, showcase the silky skills available with some nice step-overs from Ronaldo, as well a crisp passing and a lovely flick finish from Arjen Robben at the other end.

Iker Casillas saves a penalty with a low diving save, and this is an area PES have improved with the graphics looking particularly sharp when a player is 12-yards out.

It’s Ronaldo who closes the show with a long-range free kick past Manuel Neuer, however, and it’s more than enough to raise the excitement levels with just over a month until the big release dates.
