The Champions League proper last night came roaring back after a four month absence with Real Madrid's thrilling defeat of Manchester City the highlight of a packed evening of action.

Arsenal dealt with the early set-back of falling behind against Montpellier to claim an important three points in France, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic became the first player to score with six Champions League clubs when he found the net for Paris Saint-Germain.
