Liverpool created history on Wednesday night by fielding the youngest player to ever wear the famous red jersey at senior level when Jerome Sinclair came on as a substitute in the Capital One Cup against West Brom.

Aged just 16 years and six days, Sinclair made his debut after impressive form in the Reds' youth ranks encouraged Brendan Rodgers to provide the striker the chance to prove his worth in the first team.
