Arsenal transfer target Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa is not for sale, according to Montpellier president Louis Nicollin.
Reports suggest the Gunners have been closely watching the French international, but Barcelona and Juventus are also reportedly interested in the 23-year-old.
Yanga-Mbiwa is a product of the Montpellier youth academy, and club president Nicollin insists the versatile defender will be going nowhere when the transfer window opens in January.
"Is there any possibility that Yanga-Mbiwa will leave in January? Absolutely not," Nicollin told calciomercato.com
"We're working on extending Yanga-Mbiwa's contract. In any case, the only thing that's certain at the moment is that Yanga-Mibwa won't leave in January."
Arsene Wenger swooped to sign Olivier Giroud from Ligue 1 champions Montpellier last season, and the Gunners recently beat the French side 2-1 in the Champions League group stage.
The Arsenal boss has been linked with a move for Yanga-Mibwa for the past few months, but Nicollin insists no club has made contact with Montpellier for the youngster.
"Are Juventus and Barcelona also interested in Yanga-Mbiwa?" Nicollin continued. "To be honest, nobody has asked us about him. I don't know if any clubs have been in contact with Yanga Mbiwa's agent, and I honestly don't care."
Yanga-Mbiwa is Montpellier captain, and has three caps for France. The young centre-back is one of the most highly-rated players in Ligue 1.
