Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson allowed recent frustrations come to the boil in a press conference ahead of his side's Champions League meeting with CFR Clug.

The Scot witnessed his Red Devils fall to a surprise defeat against Tottenham last Saturday, with the north Londoners triumphing 3-2 at Old Trafford and lamented United's defending after the game.

The golf loving Manchester United boss was, though, given reason to be cheerful on Sunday as Europe claimed a dramatic victory against the USA in the Ryder Cup.

However, when Ferguson was asked about the epic comeback in Medinah during a Champions League press conference, the 70-year-old snapped back at the reporter and refused to field the question.

“Listen, listen. This is a press conference about a bloody football match,” a clearly irritated Ferguson said to a Sky Sports presenter.

“You’ve got to go way over the top with your programme. I’m not answering that. We’re here to talk about football. Christ.”

Manchester United are in Transylvanian to take on Cluj on Tuesday evening, looking to post their second win of their European campaign.

The Old Trafford club beat Galatasaray in their Champions League opener, with Michael Carrick netting the only goal of the game.
