The agent of Paris Saint Germain defender Thiago Silva has floated the possibility of his client one day returning to AC Milan.

Speaking to Italian publication Tutto Mercato, Paulo Tonietto - the Brazilian's representative - opened the door for a sensational San Siro comeback, less than three months after he moved to France in a €42million deal.

Silva was sold by the Rossoneri to PSG in the summer, when the wealthy Ligue 1 outfit came calling, with an offer that was too good for club president Silvio Berlusconi to resist.

His sale was hugely unpopular with Milan fans, especially given that the defender did not push for the move, and because he had been regularly compared to on of the team's most famous ever players - the legendary Franco Baresi.

"Milan needed to sell and it was time for a change," explained Tonietto. "I am sure Milan will recover because they are a strong club.

"Who knows if one day Thiago will return? In life, everything is possible. For now he is happy in Paris and with PSG."

The 28-year-old has impressed in Paris since making his high-profile move, but recently revealed he feels more comfortable playing alongside compatriot Alex, rather than Mamadou Sakho - a player widely regarded as one of the best young defenders in Europe.
