Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic is being linked with a shock move away from Old Trafford.

The Daily Mirror claims Spanish giants Barcelona and Italian champions Juventus both want to sign the Serbian international, who is currently out of action injured.

Vidic moved to the Premier League in 2006, signing from Spartak Moscow after two years in Russia. The 30-year-old had initially began his career at Red Star Belgrade.

However, the 56-cap international has really flourished with the Red Devils, taking the captain’s armband after signing a new four-year contract in 2010.

During his time with Manchester United, Vidic has won four Premier League titles and three League Cup trophies, as well as one Champions League winner’s medal.

Speculation is starting to suggest that his time under Sir Alex Ferguson could be coming to an end though, although it’s unclear how much either the La Liga or Serie ‘A’ side will have to pay for his services.

It’s also unlikely that Manchester United would be willing to let the player leave on the cheap.
