Manchester City and Manchester United transfer target Arturo Vidal has revealed he intends to stay at Juventus, according to

The Chilean international went so far as to say he would be happy to finish his career with the Serie 'A' champions.

The 25-year-old is highly-rated in Italy, and had attracted interest from Real Madrid as well as Manchester City and Manchester United.

Alongside Andrea Pirlo and Claudio Marchisio, Vidal forms part of a fearsome central midfield for Juventus.

And the Chile midfielder revealed his intention to stay put in Turin, despite interest from Premier League suitors.

"I've not thought about trying my luck in England or Spain," said Vidal. "I repeat that I'm very happy here and if I had to spend the rest of my career here I'd do so gladly."

Vidal joined Juventus from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in 2011, and won the Serie 'A' title in his first season at the club - Juventus went unbeaten for the entire 2011/12 campaign.

The Chilean's performances at the heart of the Juve midfield attracted the attention of United and City, but Vidal - who impressed against Chelsea in the Champions League two weeks ago - is committed to the Italian side.

Manchester United have been linked with a huge number of centre midfielders over the past two seasons, but Sir Alex Ferguson has so far decided against dipping into the transfer market. As a result, Manchester United have rotated Paul Scholes, Tom Cleverley, Michael Carrick, Anderson and Ryan Giggs in the Old Trafford midfield.

His counterpart at Manchester City, Roberto Mancini, signed Jack Rodwell and Javi Garcia in the summer, making a move for Vidal in January unlikely even before the Juventus star revealed his desire to retire in Turin. Manchester City could instead turn their attentions to a striker, and Mancini reportedly visited Spain at the weekend to scout Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao.
