Jonjo Shelvey is bracing himself to be sent back to the England Under-21s after making his senior debut in his country's 5-0 thrashing of San Marino.
The 20-year-old had originally been named in the under-21 party for their European Championship play-off against Serbia but was called up by Roy Hodgson for the injured Frank Lampard. He was banned for Friday night's first leg at Carrow Road but is available again for Tuesday's return match, the same day the senior side play Poland in a vital World Cup clash and Steven Gerrard returns from his own ban.e may have to wait for his second appearance under Roy Hodgson.
Acknowledging his England debut was a bonus, Shelvey said: "I don't know what's happening now, whether I'm going to be going back to the 21s or staying. Hopefully, he's (Hodgson) got me in his plans for future call-ups."
