Arsenal goalkeeper Vito Mannone insists he has no intention of swapping north London for Italy any time soon.

Mannone has been linked with a move back to his home country, with AC Milan and Napoli said to be interested.

The Italian shot-stopper fuelled the rumours last week by admitting he would favour a move away from the Gunners to Milan ‘one day’.

However the 24-year-old has told Arsenal’s official website he has no plans to desert the Gunners in the near future.

"I want to make it clear, because there have been unfounded rumours, that my contract is not ending in 12 months," he told Arsenal Player.

"I've got a few more years and I'm happy to be at Arsenal right now. I'm looking at the present and my future is not in doubt.

"I want to stay at Arsenal as long as I can, I don't want to move to any other club."

Mannone has finally made his way into Arsene Wenger’s first team at the Emirates Stadium after spending last season on loan, and is currently locked in a battle with Wojciech Szezesny over the right to be cnamed Arsenal’s number one.

Szesny has missed much of the Premier League season through injury, allowing Mannone to demonstrate his vastly improved ability both domestically and in the Champions League.
