Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti has denied he plans to raid Chelsea for full-back Ashley Cole in January or at the end of the season.

The French club have been heavily linked with a move for Cole ever since reports this week emerged that the 31-year-old was set to walk away from Chelsea after contract talks broke down.

According to reports, the Chelsea defender was seeking a long-term deal, while the club were only willing to offer him a one-year extension to his contract at Stamford Bridge.

PSG were said to be in the race for his signature, while Manchester United and Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for Cole, who joined Chelsea from Arsenal in 2006.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for Cole since the summer, with reports claiming Sir Alex Ferguson was keen on taking Cole to Old Trafford on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Despite the Red Devils interest, PSG were believes to be favourites to land Cole and were ready to launch a £23 million January raid for the Stamford Bridge favourite - however Ancelotti’s has moved to dismiss claims Cole will be heading to France in the Winter window.

“Besides Lucas [Moura], nothing is done and there is no discussion with any player,” he told Le Parisien.

When asked about Cole, he replied: 'Neither this winter nor next season.’

Ancelotti, who enjoyed a two year spell in charge of Chelsea between 2009 and 2011, and won the Premier League title in 2010, has previously admitted he was a fan of Cole’s ability.

The Chelsea player currently faces disciplinary action from both club and country over his controversial Twitter message about the FA, but is expected to be recalled to the Three Lions team for their rearranged World Cup qualifier against Poland this evening.
