Holland striker Jeremain Lens says he is ready for a move to the Premier League next year and Liverpool are reportedly interested in him.

The 24-year-old has been impressive for his club PSV Eindhoven so far this season and Tuttomercato claim the Anfield club have an eye on him, though Aston Villa and Southampton have also been credited with an interest.

If Brendan Rodgers does wish to make Jeremain Lens a Liverpool signing, he has been given a substantial indicator that a move to Merseyside could be of interest.

Honestly I had expected to be further in my career right now," Lens told Algemeen Dagblad.

"But after a bad point and some injuries I had to adjust my expectations. I had in mind that I would have already played tournaments with the Dutch national team and played in a foreign league."

“I play to make a transfer next summer. I will do everything for that this year. I prefer the English and German league as they perfectly fit with my kind of play.”

Lens began his career as a centre-forward, but has successfully been converted into a deeper lying attacker since moving to PSV from AZ Alkmaar and this form has been converted into more appearances for the Holland national team.

Liverpool will be enthused at his international record if they are set to make a bid, as he has scored four times in eight appearances.
