Premier League Brazilians to face off with Falcao

Four Brazilian Premier League stars from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are set for a showdown with man of the moment Radamel Falcao next month.

Chelsea players Oscar, Ramires and David Luiz have all been called up to the Brazil squad for a friendly against fellow South Americans Colombia.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro is also included in the 21-man group picked by coach Mano Menezes for the clash being staged at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA.

The Chelsea and Spurs stars will be hoping to impress, as this is Brazil’s final game of the year and Menezes admitted he was hoping to decide on a settled squad leading into the Confederations Cup next year.

Their opponents that day will boast a pair of highly-rated players that have been heavily linked with moves to the Premier League.

Atletico Madrid striker Falcao has been in terrific goalscoring form of late and reports continually link him with a bid from Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Porto winger James Rodriguez, who joins his compatriot from La Liga as being Colombia’s biggest threat to Brazil.

Sandro’s call-up is another sign that he is beginning to reap the rewards of some fantastic form under Andre Villas-Boas at White Hart Lane; the 23-year-old has capitalised fully on the absence of Scott Parker through injury, so much so that the England international will find it difficult to break back into the squad once he recovers.

The Premier League players will line up next to some of the world’s biggest stars in Barcelona full-back Dani Alves, Real Madrid playmaker Kaka and the man who looks destined to become one of the best ever, Neymar.

The game takes place on Wednesday November 14.
