The 32-year-old has not featured at all this season, as he continues his recovery from Achilles surgery, that was due to rule him out until Christmas.
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas has had to make do without his combative midfielder for the duration of his tenure at White Hart Lane, but revealed that the England international could return ahead of schedule.
"There has been a slight improvement," explained the Portuguese tactician. "We have pushed him in exercise and running.
"We have time and are allowing the player to feel 100 per cent. Hopefully we will have him fit in a few weeks."
Parker joined Tottenham from West Ham in August 2011, and proved to be an integral part of Harry Redknapp's fluent side that promised so much during an 11-match unbeaten run last season.
After first suffering the injury back in April, Parker was rushed back to take his place in Roy Hodgson's Three Lions squad for the European Championships in Poland and Ukraine, where he exacerbated the problem, resulting in the need to go under the knife.
