Paulinho’s agent has dismissed rumours suggesting Chelsea are interested in signing Paulinho, along with Paris Saint-Germain and Inter Milan.

The Brazilian star has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks, however his club Corinthians insist he is not for sale.

The 24-year-old, who operates in a defensive midfield position is reportedly seen by Chelsea as the perfect foil to club’s offensive minded players such as Oscar, Eden Hazard and Juan Mata.

Paulinho recently signed a new deal that will keep him in Brazil for the foreseeable future, but that hasn’t stopped Chelsea reportedly sounding out the possibility of snapping up the young international.

The fact that his agent Bernardo has been spotted in both France and Italy has added fuel to the fire, although he denies he was discussing Paulinho’s future.

"I was there [Italy and France] to see other players," he said. After the summer market, we have not met with anyone else over Paulinho. It is normal for these types of rumours. We've had Chelsea, Inter, PSG now.

Bernardo insisted it was normal for big clubs the be attracted to the talented youngster because of his potential, and described him as the second biggest player in Brazil behind Neymar.

“After Neymar, he is the most important player in Brazil. This [speculation] is normal."
