Chelsea captain John Terry has reportedly escaped serious injury after a nasty collision with Liverpool’s Luis Suarez on Sunday.

Terry was stretchered off in the first half and it was feared he had suffered serious knee ligament damage, but that now appears not to be the case.

Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has told the club’s fans to stop dwelling on past glories.

Rodgers’ was happy with his side salvaging a point in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea, but warned Liverpool fans that they are only concentrating on improvement on last season’s eighth place finish.

The Mexican was United’s match-winner on Saturday evening as Ferguson’s side came from 2-0 down at Aston Villa to win 3-2.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says the Gunners are still in the title race, despite being 11 points behind leaders Manchester United.

Wenger saw his side throw away a 2-0 lead for the second time in a week in the 3-3 draw with Fulham at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Manchester City super-sub Edin Dzeko has been told he must be patient and bide his time for a starting place.

The Bosnian scored another late winner in the 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur yesterday, but coach David Platt said he would have to wait for the starting place he craves.

Meanwhile, Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas was still proud of his team despite giving up the lead in the defeat to the Premier League champions.

Villas-Boas was adamant he made the right team selection and said Dzeko’s brilliance was the only thing separating the sides.
