Roberto di Matteo says Didier Drogba is welcome to train with Chelsea when he prepares for the Africa Cup of Nations in January.

Drogba left Chelsea at the end of last season, and has just finished his maiden campaign with Shanghai Shenhua.

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has pulled out of the Netherlands squad for Wednesday's friendly with Germany.

Van Persie completed the full 90 minutes in the weekend defeat of Aston Villa, but is now struggling with a thigh injury.
