Chelsea will be without captain John Terry for the visit to West Brom following the knee injury he sustained against Liverpool, although the extent of the damage is not as bad as initially feared.

Terry will be missing for only three weeks, and Gary Cahill is expected to deputise for his skipper alongside David Luiz, despite the Brazilian being on international duty in America this week.

Branislav Ivanovic played centre-back against Liverpool but is likely to move make to the right side of the defence, which means Cesar Azpilicueta drops to the bench for Chelsea.

Ashley Cole could return for the Blues after injury, but Ryan Bertrand appears set to retain his place on the left side of the Chelsea defence.

Frank Lampard is still unavailable, so John Obi Mikel and Ramires continue in their anchor roles, with the 'three amigos' of Eden Hazard, Juan Mata and Oscar ahead of him. Fernando Torres keeps his place up front.

West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster is absent after groin surgery, so Boaz Myhill continues between the sticks, while Gabriel Tamas is set to replace the injured Gareth McAuley in an otherwise unchanged defence.

Youssouf Mulumbu will play if passed fit following a hamstring injury he picked up on international duty with Congo, while striker Romelu Lukaku is ineligible to play due to the terms of his loan from Chelsea.

Peter Odemwingie comes alongside Shane Long to replace Lukaku.

West Brom v Chelsea: Predicted line-ups:

West Brom: Boaz Myhill; Billy Jones, Gabriel Tamas, Jonas Olsson, Liam Ridgewell; James Morrison, Claudio Yacob, Youssouf Mulumbu, Chris Brunt; Pete Odemwingie, Shane Long.

Chelsea: Petr Cech; Branislav Ivanovic, David Luiz, Gary Cahill, Ryan Bertrand; John Obi Mikel, Ramires; Eden Hazard, Oscar, Juan Mata; Fernando Torres.
