Roma playmaker Miralem Pjanic has admitted he is aware of Tottenham’s interest in him, but says he has no intention of heading to north London any time soon.

Pjanic is said to have fallen out with Roma boss Zeman Zdenek of late and was hoping to secure a route out of the Stadio Olimpico, prompting reports of a move to the Premier League.

Spurs appear keen on landing the Bosnian international in the January transfer window as they look to add more creativity to their side.

Pjanic was linked with a move to White Hart Lane over the summer while his representatives reportedly travelled to London to discus a move with Tottenham last week.

Following that meeting it was reported that Pjanic may well join Tottenham, but only at the end of the season rather than in January.

However the 23-year-old, who is contracted with Roma until 2015, says he won’t be heading to north London.

“I am aware of Tottenham's interest, but I have no intention of leaving Roma,” He told L'Essentiel.

"The club was clear, I have a three-year contract and without doubt will remain here."

“Rome is a city of footballer supporters who are fully behind us.”

Tottenham appear set for a busy January transfer window amid reports manager Andre Villas-Boas will be handed a bumper transfer kitty to help lure they players he requires to get Spurs into the top four. Willian, Christian Eriksen and Joao Moutinho have all been linked with a move to White Hart Lane in the past.
