England defender Joleon Lescott is prepared to bide his time after losing his spot in the Manchester City side. Lescott has admitted it's been tough sitting on the bench, but insisted he's not looking for an opportunity to leave the Premier League champions.

Rafa Benitez is reportedly preparing for life after Ashley Cole by moving for Southampton youngster Luke Shaw. The 17-year-old left-back has enjoyed a run in the Saints first-team, and has attracted interest from a number of clubs, including Tottenham and Arsenal.

Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed Nani faces four to five weeks on the sidelines with a hamstring injury. The Portuguese winger has been ruled out until after Christmas, but there was also good news for United fans as Vidic and Valencia near first-team returns.
