Arsenal are being linked with a £15 million move for Spanish forward Adrian Lopez.

The Daily Express claims Arsene Wenger has set his sights on the Atletico Madrid front-man, and is willing to meet the minimum fee release clause on the two-cap international’s head.

Wenger has enjoyed recent success when raiding La Liga for players, with Santi Cazorla one of the few bright spots in a disappointing campaign for the Gunners thus far.

Cazorla was signed in the summer from Malaga for the same £15 million price, and has settled in quickly to life in the Premier League at the Emirates Stadium.

Michu’s performance against Arsenal at the weekend has further emphasised the talent in Spain, and convinced Wenger to search for more players in that particular market, according to the report.

Adrian began his career at Real Oviedo before joining Deportivo La Coruna in 2006. After five years at the Riazor, the 24-year-old signed for his current club on a free transfer.

His form at the Vicente Caldron Stadium led to international recognition this year, and now Arsenal are being linked with a move as the north London outfit chase their first piece of silverware since 2005.
