Joe Hart not distracted by Manchester derby thoughts

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart wants to keep the focus on tomorrow night's Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund, rather than looking ahead to Sunday's crunch clash with Manchester United.

The reigning domestic champions take on the Red Devils at the Etihad Stadium next weekend, but first travel to Germany looking to secure a consolation place in the Europa League.

Roberto Mancini's men are already eliminated from the Champions League, but need a result against the Bundesliga giants to avoid being knocked out of Europe completely.

Five days later, City will be looking to return to the top of the Premier League table, with victory over rivals United, but Hart is adamant that the players are undistracted, and taking it one game at a time.

"We move on to the derby now, and we've obviously got Dortmund on Tuesday," he said, after Saturday's 1-1 draw with Everton.

"We've got a tough one in Dortmund. We need to finish the Champions League group with a bit of pride. Hopefully we'll get a good result there and we'll get into the derby. We'll deal with that when it comes."

The Toffees result maintains Manchester City's unbeaten start to the 2012/13 campaign, and despite the disappointment at not winning all three points, they extended their home run without a league loss to 37 games.

"It's a great record - one we need to keep going, but with more wins than draws," added Hart. "It was a tough game. It is always going to be tough against Everton. We'd like to win but we haven't lost.

"They are a good team, they work for each other. They have got some good players and a good manager, and all that added together makes them a tough team to play against."
