Kaka admits he may be forced to leave Real Madrid in January after failing to force his way into Jose Mourinho's first-team, reports The Sun.

The 30-year-old Brazilian playmaker arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu in a whopping £56million deal in 2009, but has struggled with injury in recent months, and twinned with a loss of form, has lost his place in the starting XI.

"I keep doing my job to stay in Madrid. Then, to see what happens and what the club wants," he said. "It's not a comfortable situation for either the club or me. I do not know what will happen but I have a contract until 2015.

"The club called me in the summer and we did not find a solution. In January, I hope to know what the club wants. If they choose a solution, I'm open to talk."

The former AC Milan attacking midfielder has started just one La Liga game this season, prompting a raft of speculation that he could leave Spain in the New Year, with MLS side LA Galaxy reportedly keen on his signature.

David Beckham - who played alongside Kaka during his time in Italy at the San Siro - believes the South American star would be the perfect marquee signing for football in the United States.

"We'd welcome any player of his skill and calibre at Galaxy," he said.

Despite the endorsement from Beckham, Kaka insists he is in the dark about a potential switch to Los Angeles, adding: "I have heard nothing."

Kaka was handed the captain's armband in a rare appearance for last night's 4-1 Champions League victory over Ajax, and responded by scoring Real Madrid's third goal, bringing the Bernabeu to its feet with a run and shot that curled into the top corner, minutes into the second-half.
