Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will have a meeting with midfielder Santi Cazorla to warn him against any further theatrics after he dived to win a penalty in the victory over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, according to Metro.
The Gunners got back to winning ways at Emirates Stadium with two penalties from midfielder Mikel Arteta, the first of which caused much controversy and angered Baggies boss Steve Clarke.
Cazorla was challenged by West Brom defender Steven Reid but there appeared to be minimal contact or certainly not enough to cause the Spaniard to go down.
Wenger admitted his side were lucky to get the penalty but did defend Cazorla, refusing to say whether he had dived or not.
However, the Frenchman said he would discuss the matter with the Spain international if he had dived, which can be clearly seen in replays of the incident.
Wenger has condemned the practice in the past, saying divers should be banned for three games retrospectively if the football authorities wanted to eradicate the practice.
