Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-sung is set to miss out on the chance to represent South Korea at the Olympics because of injury.

The 27-year-old was in contention to be named as one of three eligible players aged over 23 for the competition, but is struggling with a knee injury which forced him to miss last Saturday´s 3-1 World Cup qualifying win in Turkmenistan.

"Unfortunately, Park will not be selected for the Olympics," coach Park Sung-hwa said.
