Germany midfielder Michael Ballack wants to knock Luiz Felipe Scolari out of Euro 2008 after setting up a quarter-final against Portugal with a stunning winner in Vienna.

The pair will be working together next season at Chelsea but Ballack is set to put club loyalties aside when he faces his new manager on Thursday at St Jakob-Park in Basel.

Ballack, whose 25-yard free-kick earned Germany a 1-0 win over Austria, said: "We played against Portugal in the World Cup and from that point of view I´m looking forward to winning against them again."
