Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has vowed to name a strong squad ahead of Young Boys’ visit to Merseyside, despite the Reds facing four games in a hectic ten days.

With Pepe Reina back to fitness, the Spaniard will be hoping to get another 90 minutes under his belt against Martin Rueda’s side.

The Anfield outfit have options at the back, with Andre Wisdom and Jose Enrique expected to start in the full-back positions. Martin Skrtel is likely to start at centre-back, with either Jamie Carragher or Sebastian Coates playing alongside the Slovakian.

Lucas Leiva isn’t fit enough to start in midfield for Liverpool, but Jonjo Shelvey is set to return from a high problem to start. Nuri Sahin and Joe Allen will also hope to feature, with Steven Gerrard ready if needed from the bench.

The same scenario awaits Luis Suarez, who is unlikely to be risked at this stage. Stewart Downing, Samed Yesil and Oussama Assaidi could provide an unproven attacking trio.
