Physio tweet reveals key Tottenham midfielder injury boost

Tottenham could be about to receive a timely boost after the midfielder’s personal physiotherapists revealed on Twitter that he had been delivered back to the club 'injury free' following his six week injury lay off.

Dembele hasn't featured for Tottenham since in their 2-0 win over Aston Villa in early October, and since then Spurs have won just one of their last five Premier League outings, culminating in their 5-2 defeat at the hands of rivals Arsenal on Saturday.

The Belgian international has already established himself as one of the key members of Andre Villas-Boas' squad at White Hart Lane having arrived for £15 million over the summer from Fulham.

However Dembele has been forced to take a prolonged break from the game because of a persistent hip injury which has bothered him over the last two seasons.

The 25-year-old had to take two weeks out of the game last season while still with Fulham because of the problem. Villas-Boas confirmed earlier this month that Spurs were pinning their hopes on physiotherapy rather than surgery, which would have left him out of action for even longer. The Portuguese coach's initial assesment put him in line for a return against Liverpool later this month.

The move to avoid surgery appears to have paid off Belgian-base physiotherapists Move To Cure revealed in a tweet today that Dembele had returned to London fully fit.

The message from @movetocure, which Dembele retweeted on his official account, read: "On my way to deliver @mousadembele injury free to his club @spursofficial.”

Although Dembele has returned to Tottenham, he is unlikely to be rushed back into action against Lazio this week with a run of tough fixtures coming up.

Spurs face West Ham and Liverpool in the Premier League before the busy Christmas schedule kicks in.
